A Catholic Commentary on The "Protocols" of the Elders of Zion — Jouin, 1932
Msgr. Ernest Jouin, in a courageous 1932 study matched only by its prescience, analyzes the contents of the "Protocols" to demonstrate the clear and continuing Judeo-Masonic plot against the Church
“For, despite Israel’s overly self-serving denials, these documents [The “Protocols” of the Elders of Zion] remain the living expression of the current situation in the world, which the Judeo-Masonic peril infallibly leads to total ruin, if it is not averted without hesitation or complacency. In such extremes, it is in the common interest to weigh the value of these minutes and to extract from them the practical instructions from which the duty of the present hour imperatively flows, unless one no longer has at heart the interests of the family, the fatherland and the Church.”
Introduction
Ernest Jouin (b. 1844) was a prominent French prelate who was a noted counterrevolutionary writer, publisher and outspoken opponent of the Judeo-Masonic conspiracy against the Catholic Church. In his early years, he was educated in a novitiate of the Dominican Order. Afterwards, he moved to Angers, France for seminary formation, where he was then ordained a priest in 1868. He quickly found himself the target of Masonic attacks on his person, accused of stealing money intended for a funeral home.1 The false charges were exposed in court, where the young priest was cleared of any wrongdoing.
Working as a parish priest in Paris, then-Fr. Jouin was assigned the parishes of Saint Augustin (1886-1894), Saint Medard (1894-1898) and again Saint Augustin where he remained from 1899 until 1932, the year of his meeting his eternal reward. A loyal son of the Church, Jouin found himself — once again — the subject of persecution in 1906, by which French authorities, acting at the behest of Freemasonry, had imposed a law separating the Church from State. For his defense of the rights of the Church, he was accused of violating the law with his protest, later being summoned to court and fined.
The anti-masonic crusade of this heroic priest would not begin until 1912. During this year Jouin decided to found a new magazine, called the Revue Internationale des Sociétés Secretès (International Journal of Secret Societies) and an accompanying league, Ligue Franc-Catholique, to fight Freemasonry while simultaneously unmasking its wicked designs. What was unique about the operation was the commitment to a scientific study of the enemy, which was only matched by its holy rigor in opposing the Masonic sect. Six years later, Jouin was raised to the prelature in 1918 by Pope Benedict XV who would describe him and the magazine as follows, “We know that you have fulfilled your sacred ministry in an exemplary manner, that you have the liveliest concern for the eternal salvation of your faithful and that you have affirmed with constancy and courage the rights of the Catholic Church — not without danger to your life — against the sects that are enemies of religion, finally that you spare nothing, neither effort nor expense in publicly disseminating your works on these matters”.2
His valuable work did not go unnoticed by the next Pope, either. In 1919 Pius XI praised the Monsignor’s work and gave him the apostolic blessing, which can be seen below.3
A few years later, in 1924, the same Pope would raise him to the position of apostolic protonotary. With this unique privilege, he would now be able to wear the ring and mitre on certain occasions.
Along with Msgr. Umberto Benigni, a noted foe of modernists and ally of Pope St. Pius X, Msgr. Jouin published the first French edition of Protocols of the Elders of Zion, while Benigni would publish the first Italian edition. The New York Times reported, accurately, that Jouin’s mission in exposing the designs of the enemies of Church included seeing “the Jews through a triple lens — race, nationality, and religion — as ‘the enemy of humanity’”. Benigni and Jouin, hated by the modernists in the hierarchy and their sympathizers, along with the liberal civil authorities, openly promoted — importantly offering conclusive evidence, too — the Judeo-Masonic conspiracy, which revealed a secret alliance between Jews and Freemasons that was seeking to undermine the traditional European social order and the Catholic Church. Anyone with an open and intellectually curious mind, who would have been tempted to dismiss this plot contemporaneously, now, with the record of history of the last hundred years, can have no excuse.
Radio Spada, a valuable biographical source for the life of Msgr. Jouin, summarizes what emerges from the official biography,4 written by Canon Sauvetre, thusly, “[A man of] intense religiosity, a mysticism and a devotion to the Sacred Heart and the Saints, which lead the holy priest to see, above human events, the clash between Our Lord Jesus Christ, Saint Michael and the faithful angels and the devil and the fallen angels, a fight that will end in eternity with the triumph of Christ and His Church.” As mentioned earlier, Jouin died in 1932, on June 27 to be precise, at the age of eighty-eight. He served the Church for over sixty-years in dutiful pastoral ministry.
Msgr. Jouin’s thinking and work has proved prescient —to say the least. Few have been as vindicated as men like him, a Catholic prelate mind you, shamelessly smeared as a “conspiracy theorist” and “antisemite” by the intellectually proud and incurious, alike. In fact, the very purpose of the following translation is to draw attention to that misunderstanding, revealing Jouin’s insight of the factors that drove — and continue to drive — the engines of apostasy and deracination in nearly-every European society, including America. Now, without further ado, we present the “Judeo-Masonic Peril”, originally published in the International Journal of Secret Societies. This work, in English for the very first time, is Msgr. Ernest Jouin’s 1932 commentary on The “Protocols” of the Elders of Zion.
The Judeo-Masonic Peril — THE "PROTOCOLS" OF THE ELDERS OF ZION
Overview
Before undertaking a commentary on the “Protocols” of the Elders of Zion,5 we consider it useful to take a comprehensive look at them and summarize them to fully understand their plan, their goal, their threat. For, despite Israel’s overly self-serving denials, these documents remain the living expression of the current situation in the world, which the Judeo-Masonic peril infallibly leads to total ruin, if it is not averted without hesitation or complacency. In such extremes, it is in the common interest to weigh the value of these minutes and to extract from them the practical instructions from which the duty of the present hour imperatively flows, unless one no longer has at heart the interests of the family, the fatherland and the Church. It is therefore a short summary and an analysis of the “Protocols” that we present first to our readers.
The “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” have, in fact, just revealed to the entire world that the Judeo-Masonic peril is today a matter of life or death for all peoples. These “Protocols” are a notable part of the minutes of the twenty-four sessions held at the first Zionist Congress in Basel in 1897, under the presidency of Dr. Theodor Herzl, called by the Jews “the Prince of Exile.” These conferences summarize the plan for world domination elaborated by the Jewish race since its dispersion, at the time of the capture of Jerusalem by Titus. It would be childish to believe that the “Protocols” are the first draft of Israel’s aspirations and its centuries-old efforts; they are only the more developed expression, as well as the more current one, because contemporary events confirm their realization.6
These documents were stolen at the instigation of high-ranking Russian officials, and one of the copies was given to Sergei Nilus in 1901 by the Marshal of the Nobility of Chern (Central Russia), Alexis Nikolajevitch Souchotin. Another copy fell into the hands of a famous Russian writer and polemicist, C. Butmi. Nilus and Butmi translated the “Protocols” into Russian. The translators and editors who reproduced these Minutes preferred Nilus’s translation, because it faithfully follows the Reports of the Twenty-Four Zionist Sessions
The main editions of Sergei Nilus date from 1902. Then, in 1905, we had the British Museum edition collated. Then in 1911, Mr. Gottfried zur Beek, the eminent director of the Auf Vorposten, made the German translation. A 1917 edition was reproduced by the American translations in Boston and the Polish translations in Warsaw. Finally, a final Russian edition of Nilus appeared in 1920 in Berlin; we have it.
The Jews deny the authenticity of these “Protocols”. This was to be expected. But their arguments are not proof. Some wanted to pass Nilus off as an exalted monk without authority. Now Sergei Nilus was an esteemed professor who still lived in Ukraine at the beginning of the war, and we have testimony to this from Russians currently in Paris, who frequented him in recent years. Besides, we have said that Nilus is not the only translator of the “Protocols”. Others have claimed that the first editions had no effect in Russia. This is true. But it must be added that the Jews made them disappear almost completely, that in particular the 1917 edition, loaded onto a wagon, was thrown onto the station platform and burned by a troop of men who then disappeared; that the Jew Kerensky, having come to power, had all copies of the “Protocols” searched in Petrograd and Moscow; and finally, that in Russia, it is enough to be found in possession of this document to be put to death. Following the articles in the Morning Post, the first English edition was also boycotted in London by the Jews. Now, what interest would they have in acting in this way if these Reports were an apocryphal work without any appearance of truth?7
The great objection concerns the improbability of transcribing such projects, the manuscripts of which can always fall into enemy hands. The objection is more specious than convincing. Any plan can only be finalized through writing. The two great Masonic plots that prepared the “Protocols” were certainly the writings of the Illuminati of Weishaupt in Bavaria and the Instruction of the Alta-Vendita in Italy. Both were written down to the smallest detail; both were found and later made public.
The Hungarian newspapers of August 1920 learned from Maramarossziget (located in Romanian-occupied Hungarian territory) that the Jews there are dismayed. Unknown hands have stolen the archives of the local Israelite Society on World Politics. Naturally, this is a political theft by which the authors wanted to document Israel’s international intrigues. Therefore, the Jews of Maramarossziget are frightened and have promised the Romanian authorities more than half a million crowns if they succeed in having the compromising letters from this ghetto returned.
This last case is singularly similar to that of the “Protocols”. Even if their authenticity cannot be rigorously proven, it is powerfully supported by the events they predicted, which we are witnessing today and which threaten to make us victims tomorrow. The English translator writes in his Preface:
It is impossible to read any part of this volume today without being struck by the strong prophetic note that fills them all, not only with regard to the holy Russia of old, but also from the point of view of certain sinister developments that can be observed throughout the world at the present time. Gentiles, beware!
We also read in the German edition:
What has happened since the publication of Nilus: the world war and the overthrow of thrones in Russia, Austria-Hungary, and Germany; Chaos, the desired goal of the Freemasons, from which the Humanitarian League, will emerge under the Judeo-Masonic direction projected for two hundred years, all this appears today with such terrible clarity that there is no need to explain why we are translating and publishing the “Protocols” of the Elders of Zion. We hope that their publication will open eyes to the dangers of Freemasonry and Jewry and will encourage definitive measures to be taken before our homeland and Germanic culture are completely annihilated.
The Morning Post, of July 19, 1920, notes that the “Protocols” add to the prediction of the great revolutionary movement in Russia, Germany, and Hungary the means that were to bring it about: wars, the high cost of living, government corruption, the use of Jewish agents who are found everywhere and whose principal ones are now known.
Finally, let us note the following passage from the Epilogue of the Polish translator:
The causes and goals of the Great War, which shook almost the entire earth, the development of Bolshevism in Russia, the Spartacist movement in Germany, even certain special clauses of the peace treaty — all this finds its reason here; all this appears as the logical consequence of the action of that mysterious hand that directs the destinies of the world.
And that hand is the Jews.
What we have said is sufficient proof to support our assertion that the shocks and upheavals from which the entire world is suffering today are the work of the Jews and the realization of a well-determined plan, every detail of which has been carefully studied and which tends toward a clearly specified goal.
It is this satanic plan that we present here as an analysis. All those who have discovered it have sounded a cry of alarm. Even in America, the Boston translator writes:
The intended purpose, already indicated in the translation, is to draw the attention of the American people to a document that can shed important light on the international Bolshevist movement that directly threatens the vital interests of the United States.
Suffice it to add that the country on which this Judeo-Masonic threat weighs most heavily is ours. Of all peoples, France is the focal point and target of the Jews and the Masons. Knowing the “Protocols” and thwarting their plan is therefore an eminently French task. It is up to us to undertake it in time and bring it to a successful conclusion.
I. Judeo-Masonry is the Counter-Morality
1° Judeo-Masonic Plan of World Domination.
This plan is the Jewish Super-government:8
By all these means, we will oppress Christians so much that they will be forced to offer us world hegemony. As soon as we have reached such a position, we will be able to immediately absorb all the governmental powers of the entire world and form a universal super-government. We will replace the existing governments with a monster that we will call the Super-government Administration. Its hands will extend far and wide like long pincers, and it will have at its disposal an organization such that it cannot fail to subjugate all nations. (5th Session, p. 59).
This plan has been pursued for centuries and is irreformable:
We have before us a plan on which a strategic line is drawn from which we cannot deviate without destroying the work of entire centuries. (2nd Session, p. 35).
Now, the execution of this plan is nearing completion:
Today, I can assure you that we are only a few steps away from our goal. Just a short distance to go, and the circle of the Symbolic Serpent, the sign of our people, will be complete. When this circle is closed, it will surround all the states of Europe like indestructible chains. (3rd Session, p. 43).
2° This plan is being carried out by the Jews with the help of the Freemasons.
The Jews are the chosen people:
‘Per me reges regnant, let kings reign by me.’ We read in the Law of the Prophets that we have been chosen to govern the earth. God gave us genius so that we could accomplish this work. If a genius were to be found in the enemy camp, he could still fight us, but a newcomer could not measure up to old fighters of our kind, and the combat between us would be of such a desperate nature that the world has never yet seen the like. It is already too late for their genius. (3rd Session, p. 56).
The dispersion of the Jews favors their domination:
By the mercy of God, his chosen people were dispersed, and this dispersion, which appeared to the world as our weakness, constituted all our power, which led us to the threshold of universal sovereignty. (11th Session, p. 83).
But which Jews want to enslave us? One can answer: All of them. In all their programs, they affirm that a Jew, even nationalized, even married Catholic, even baptized, always remains Jewish. Except for rare exceptions, this is true. The Jewish underworld makes revolutions, but it is the Jewish High Bank that supports them. Talmudic Jews have sworn the death of Christians; but reformist Jews join hands with Masons and the worst socialists. Thus we read in the “Protocols”:
Do not believe that our assertions are empty words. Consider the success of Darwin, Marx, and Nietzsche, prepared by us. The demoralizing effect of the tendencies of these doctrines on the minds of the Gentiles should certainly not escape us. (2nd Session, p. 42).
We extract the following passage from a documented study on this subject:
Let no one say, as some Christians do, who are dupes or accomplices: ‘Fight against such and such Jews who form the High Bank, against such and such other Jews who lead the revolution. But do not confuse the good and the bad in the mass.’
Miserable ambiguity. It is the entire Jewish race “en masse” that is in solidarity with this Jewish program. Be on your guard against the Jewish and Judaized press, Jewish individuals in power, and all the base scum of the Eastern ghettos; all are in solidarity with this deleterious work. A thousand Jewish documents (and every day brings us new ones) proclaim that the Jewish race must put itself at the head of the world, and a thousand facts prove that it pursues this goal with implacable tenacity. Are there honest Jewish individuals who are foreign to this program? Certainly, and we will hasten to exclude them from the fight as soon as they make themselves known, they have one of the easiest ways: Let them fight the Jewish peril not only with words but with deeds. Otherwise, no.
Let us add that the Jews, relatively few in number,9 use the Freemasons; and just as Satan is the ape of God, we can say that Masonry is the third order of Jewry:
As long as we have not attained power, we will try to create and multiply Lodges of Freemasons in all parts of the world. We will attract into these Lodges all those who can assume or who are already assumed to be in the public mentality, because these Lodges will be the principal places where we will gather our information at the same time as they will be centers of propaganda. (15th Session, p. 98).
It is undeniable that Masonic lodges have been multiplying or increasing their membership since the war. Their magazines constantly return to this unexpected increase, from which Masonry concludes, especially in England and the United States, that it alone can regenerate the world.
Now, Masonry is directed by the Jews:
We will centralize all these Lodges under a single leadership, known only to us and constituted by our Sages. These Lodges will also have their own representatives, in order to mask the true leaders. And these leaders alone will have the right to designate the speakers and set the agenda. In these Lodges, we will strengthen the bonds of all the socialist and revolutionary classes of the Society. The most secret political plans will be known to us, and as soon as they are formed, we will direct their execution. (15th Session, p. 98).
Experienced anti-Semites, particularly Gougenot des Mousseaux, long ago revealed the Jewish leadership of Masonry. More and more light is being shed on this point, and the “Protocols” will have helped.
This Jewish leadership extends, moreover, to all the Secret Societies:
Most of those who join Secret Societies are adventurers who, for one reason or another, want to make their way in life and who are not serious-minded.
With such men, it will be easy for us to pursue our goal, and we will make them set our machine in motion.
If the whole world is turned upside down, it is because it was necessary for us to turn it upside down in order to destroy its excessive solidity. If, in the midst of this upheaval, conspiracies break out, it will mean that one of our most faithful agents is at the head of said conspiracies. It is quite natural that we are the only people to direct Masonic enterprises. We are the only people who know how to conduct them. We know the ultimate goal of every action, while the Gentiles are ignorant of most things concerning Masonry and cannot even see the immediate results of what they do. Generally, they think only of the advantages of the moment and are content if their pride is satisfied by the accomplishment of their intentions, and they do not perceive that the original idea does not come from them, but was inspired by us. (15th Session, p. 99).10
Also, the Freemasons are in the hands of the Jews only to be instruments that are broken when they become useless or harmful. Hence the Masonic victims:
Every man must inevitably end in death. It is better to hasten this end for those who hinder the progress of our cause, rather than for those who advance it. We put Freemasons to death in such a way that no one outside the Fraternity can have the slightest suspicion of it. The victims themselves cannot suspect it in advance. All die, when necessary, an apparently natural death. Knowing these facts, the Fraternity dares not protest against these executions.
By these means, we have cut off at its very root any protest against our orders as far as the Freemasons themselves are concerned. We preach liberalism to the Gentiles, but, on the other hand, we hold our own nation in complete subjection. (15th Session, p. 102).
Finally, when the Jews have achieved world domination, they will destroy Freemasonry:
To achieve this goal, we will employ the merciless means of execution against all those who might take up arms against the establishment of our power.
The institution of any new secret society will also fall under the death penalty; as for the secret societies that currently exist and are known to us, those that serve and have served our cause, we will dissolve them and send their members into exile to the ends of the earth.
This is how we will act with Gentile Freemasons who might know more than is convenient for us. We will keep in perpetual fear of exile any Freemasons to whom, for whatever reason, we show mercy. We will pass a law that will condemn all former members of secret societies to be exiled from Europe, where the center of our government will be. The decisions of our government will be irrevocable, and no one will have the right to appeal them. (15th Session, p. 96).
It is natural that Jews who dream of autocracy cannot come to an agreement in power with Masons who want a universal republic. But the means advocated by Israel prove that the plan for universal domination will be carried out by a moral, or rather immoral, revolution that will overthrow all the current foundations of society.
3° The Jewish Super-government is the Counter-Morality.
Listen to the Judeo-Masonic principles:
Politics has nothing in common with morality. A sovereign governed by morality is not a skillful politician; he is therefore not upright on a throne. He who wishes to govern must resort to cunning and hypocrisy. In politics, the great human qualities of honesty and sincerity become vices and dethrone a sovereign more inevitably than his most cruel enemy. These qualities must be the attributes of non-Jewish countries, but we are in no way obliged to make them our guides. (1st Session, p. 33).
And again:
Our motto must be: STRENGTH AND HYPOCRISY.
Only pure force is victorious in politics, especially when it hides in the talent indispensable to statesmen. Violence must be the principle, cunning and hypocrisy the rule of those governments that do not want to lay their crown at the feet of the agents of any new power. This evil is the only way to achieve good. Let us not, therefore, allow ourselves to be stopped by the buying of consciences, imposture, and treason, if by them we serve our cause.
In politics, let us not hesitate to confiscate property, if we can thus acquire submission and power. (1st Session, p. 37).
The reversal of morality is complete: the theft of property and the buying of consciences, the false oath of fidelity and the perjury of treason, the end that justifies the means,11 might that makes right, all these astounding lies form the substance of the “Protocols” and are erected into principles of politics and government. So when we saw, from the beginning of the war, the German Chancellor reduce a treaty to a scrap of paper, we begin to believe in the words of the Kaiser who said, in 1915, to the Abbess of Maredret: “It is not me, it is the Jews and the Freemasons who wanted the war.”12 Yes, war and peace are in accordance with the instructions of the “Protocols” and it is indeed the Jews and the Masons who made both.
Consequently, the Jews work to distort the mind by spreading false ideas:
We were the first, long ago, to cry to the people: “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity,” words so often repeated since then by ignorant parrots, flocking from all points of the globe around this banner. By dint of repeating them, they have deprived the world of its prosperity and individuals of their true personal freedom, so well protected in the past from the populace that wanted to stifle it. (1st Session, p. 38).
Such results are obtained particularly by liberalism:
When we had injected the poison of liberalism into the organization of the State, its political complexion changed; the States were infected with a fatal disease: the decomposition of the blood. All that remains is to wait for the end of their agony. (10th Session, p. 75).
The goal is to achieve the leveling of thought:
We know, from the experience of several centuries, that men live and are guided by ideas, and that they are influenced by these ideas, thanks to education; this can be given to them at any age with the same result, but, naturally, by different means.
By systematic education, we will undertake to eliminate all that might remain of that independence of thought which we have so widely used for some time to achieve our ends. (16th Session, p. 112).
Complete the deformation of the mind and character by the dissolution of morals due to the excitement of pleasures, games, and alcoholism; add finally the destruction of the family by divorce and the apology for free unions, neo-Malthusianism, eugenics, and you will understand how formidable and cynical are the doctrines of the “Protocols” that the Jews put so perfectly into practice by seizing the press, the theater, the cinemas, and fashion. The Jewish government is indeed the Counter-Morality.13
II. Judeo-Masonry is the Counter-State
The social revolution is associated with the moral revolution in the Judeo-Masonic plan. To achieve world domination, the Jews must seize all states. This is what they want to achieve through the triple influence of property, power, and fallen peoples.
1° Influence of Property and Fortune.
True descendants of the peoples who worshipped the golden calf at the foot of Sinai, the Jews know only one force of government: Gold. The “Protocols” repeat it ad nauseam: All the cogs of the State mechanism are driven by a force that is in our hands, namely: gold. The science of political economy, developed by our scholars, has already proven that the power of capital surpasses the prestige of the crown. (5th Session, p. 57).
Israel possesses this gold:
The greatest force of the present times is concentrated in our hands: it is gold. In two days, we can extract any amount from our secret treasures
Is it necessary, after this, to prove that our government is willed by God? Is it admissible that with such vast riches we are not capable of proving that all the gold accumulated over so many centuries is not an aid to us in making our true cause for good triumph, that is, for the restoration of order under our Government? Perhaps violence will have to be used, but this order will be definitively established. (22nd Session, p. 137).
This colossal fortune of the Jews does not consist only in the drainage of minted gold, but it also aims at the possession of landed property:
The Gentile aristocracy, as a political power, is no more. It is therefore useless to concern ourselves with it from this point of view; but, as landowners, the aristocrats are still dangerous to us, because their independence is assured by their resources. It is therefore essential for us to strip the aristocracy of its land at all costs. To achieve this goal, the best method is to raise taxes and duties. This method will keep income from landed property to a minimum. The Gentile aristocrats, who, because of their inherited tastes, are incapable of being content with little, will soon be ruined. (Session 6, p. 60).
Thus, the new plutocratic aristocracy is Jewish:
On the ruins of the natural and hereditary aristocracy, we erected, giving it plutocratic foundations, an aristocracy of our own. We established it on the wealth held under our control and on the science promoted by our scholars (1st Session, p. 40).
This Jewish science of the vault presupposes a teaching and an organization whose existence we can only too easily observe:
We will surround our government with an entire army of economists. This is why the science of economics is the main subject taught to Jews. We will have around us thousands of bankers, merchants, and, what is even more important, millionaires, because in reality, money will decide everything.
However, as long as it is not safe to fill the government positions of our Jewish brothers, we will entrust these important positions to people whose background and reputation are so bad that they form a gulf between them and the nation, and to men such that, should they violate our orders, they can expect to be tried and imprisoned. And all this with the aim of forcing them to defend our interests until their last breath. (8th Session, p. 65).
However, while this cult of gold constitutes a capital force of the Jewish Super-government, it is in its hands a means of decomposing Christian states, so much so that, according to the “Protocols”, nowadays, the “power of gold has suppressed that of the liberal authorities, and the time is no longer when religion governed.” (1st Session, p. 32). Then, as a result, we read further:
The struggle for superiority and continual speculation in the business world will create a demoralized, selfish, and heartless society. This society will become completely indifferent to religion and politics, and even disgusted by them. The passion for gold will be its only guide, and it will make every effort to obtain this gold, which alone can assure it the material pleasures it has made its true cult. Then the lower classes will join us against our competitors, the privileged Gentiles, without alleging any high purpose, or even a love of riches, but out of pure hatred of the upper classes. (4th Session, p. 53).
Thus, Jewish gold first makes Israel a state within a state. Its corrupting use, which disintegrates the moral forces of a people, opposes Judeo-Masonry to all governments, which becomes its Counter-State.
2° Grip of Power and Government
This governmental power of Judeo-Masonry is too evident to require a long demonstration.
At the Convent of the Grand Orient of France in 1904, the speaker, Brother Bonnet, said:
We have not concealed our hopes and our works, and we have no reason to keep them silent. The great reforms accomplished over the last twenty years — whether on secular education, free and compulsory education, reduction of the length of military service, law on the reduction of working hours in factories, laws on social assistance and welfare, etc. were studied in our Temples before being debated in the Chamber and the Senate. Likewise, our outfits have long been used to discuss the reforms of tomorrow: separation of Church and State, income tax, measures for the protection of work, pension funds for workers, etc. Each of us will have the deep satisfaction of having contributed to their realization, of having behaved as a good Freemason, as a sincere republican, as a true patriot. (Loud applause).14
The word is clear, the facts speak louder than it. In 1904, laws were drawn up in the Lodges; in 1921, these laws were countersigned by the public authorities. It is indeed Judeo-Masonry that governs.
But outside France, governments, it will be said, are more independent. This is a mistake. In Parliaments and in ministries, the upper hand is with the Jews and the Masons. Read the “Protocols”, the Jews boast of unleashing war and making peace:
We must be able to respond to any opposition with a declaration of war from the neighboring country of the State that dares to stand in our way; but if these neighbors, in turn, were to decide to unite against us, we would have to respond by unleashing a world war. (7th Session, p. 63).
And it is a question of peace:
We are too powerful, — the world must reckon with us. Governments cannot even make a treaty of little importance without us being secretly involved. (7th Session, p. 55).
In fact, not in a treaty of little importance, but at the conclusion of the crucial treaty that ended four and a half years of war, when the three arbiters of our destinies: Clemenceau, Lloyd George, and Wilson, emerged from the inner circle of their interminable discussions, the mask fell, and they appeared to the entire universe as the shadow of the three Jews who governed the world.
Among all peoples, Judeo-Masonry has the double grip of power through civil service and the press.
Civil service places peoples, even in a state of war, “at the mercy”, say the “Protocols”, of our innumerable international agents who have absolutely unlimited resources at their disposal. Then our international rights will sweep away the laws of the entire world and govern countries as individual governments govern their subjects.” (2nd Session, p. 41).15
Another no less surprising observation is the monopolization of the world press in the hands of the Jews. They admit this in the “Protocols”:
The press is, in the hands of existing governments, a great power by which they dominate the public mind. The press reveals the vital grievances of the populace, informs of its subjects of complaint, and, sometimes, creates discontent. Free speech was born from the press. But governments did not know how to take advantage of this force and it fell into our hands. Through the press, we acquired influence while remaining behind the scenes. (2nd Session, p. 43).
As for the use they will make of this press, of which they are the masters everywhere, they brazenly confess:
Toward the press, we will conduct ourselves in the following manner: What is the role currently played by the press?
It serves to unleash upon the people the most violent passions, or, sometimes, selfish party struggles that may be necessary for our purposes. It is often hollow, unjust, false, and most people do not understand its true intentions at all. We will put it under the yoke and guide it with firm reins; we must also ensure control of all publishing firms. It would be of no use to us to control newspapers if we remained exposed to attacks from pamphlets and books We will make the proceeds of advertising, currently so costly, a profitable resource for our government, by introducing a special stamp duty and compelling publishers and printers to pay us a deposit to guarantee our government against any kind of attack from the press. In the event of attacks, we will respond from all sides with fines. These measures, stamps, deposits, fines will be an important source of revenue for the government. Certainly party organs will not look to pay large fines, but after a second serious attack against us, we will abolish them altogether. No one will be able to touch the prestige of our political infallibility with impunity. To ban a publication, we will find the following pretext: — the publication which has just been suppressed excited, we will say, public opinion without any reason or foundation. I ask you to note that, among the aggressive publications, there will be those which will have been created by us for this purpose; but the latter will only attack our policy on the points where we have proposed a change. (12th Session, p. 83).
In the meantime, the press serves the Jews to form Judeo-Masonic opinion, to create class and party divisions, to foment strikes and unemployment, to play seesaws like this: “We will increase wages, which will not relieve the workers, because at the same time we will raise the price of basic necessities”,16 to dislocate the government machine and to gradually replace the public powers, because their goal is the social revolution, and Judeo-Masonry is the Counter-State.
3° Grip of the fallen peoples
This definitive grip of power will not be achieved peacefully:
To bring Gentile society under control, in which we have so deeply rooted discord and the dogmas of the Protestant religion, ruthless measures must be introduced. Such measures will show nations that our power cannot be defied. We must take no account of the many victims that will have to be sacrificed in order to obtain future prosperity. (15th Session, p. 97).
Then, during the same session (p. 101):
How far-sighted were our ancient Sages when they told us that, to achieve a truly great goal, we should not stop before the means, nor count the number of victims to be sacrificed to the accomplishment of the cause. We have never counted the victims of the race of these Gentile brutes, and, although we have had to sacrifice quite a number of our own, we have already given our people a position in the world such as they could never have dreamed of. A relatively small number of victims on our side has saved our nation from destruction.17
By applying these bloody theories, Judeo-Masonry brought about the Revolution of 1793 in the past:
When the populace realized that in the name of liberty they were being granted all kinds of rights, they imagined themselves masters and tried to seize power. Naturally, like any other blind person, the masses encountered countless obstacles. Then, unwilling to return to the old regime, they laid their power at our feet. Remember the French Revolution, which we call “the Great”; the secrets of its preparation, being the work of our hands, are well known to us (3rd Session, p. 49).
By applying these bloody theories, Judeo-Masonry is bringing about the Russian Revolution in the present, whose Bolshevism threatens the entire world:
This is how, say the “Protocols” “a leader must arise, who will abolish the existing governments that were sustained by a crowd whose demoralization we have brought about by throwing it into the flames of anarchy.18 This leader will be the king of the Jews, the chosen one of God.
No one will henceforth dispute that Judeo-Masonry is indeed the Counter-State.
III. Judeo-Masonry is the Counter-Church
To the moral and social revolutions, Judeo-Masonry finally adds the religious revolution, and in this regard, it attacks above all the Catholic Church.
1° Counter-Church in the face of Catholic Truth
Judeo-Masonry recognizes that “there was a time when religion ruled.”19 But along with morality, it destroyed the Creed of the Church and faith in souls; for, to become masters of the earth, the Jews “must abolish all professions of faith.”20 They boast “of having persuaded the Gentiles that liberalism would lead them to the reign of reason.”21 Was it not Reason that was the true goddess of the Great Revolution, of which they claim paternity? It is still necessary to them since, in order to reign, they must take away from Catholics even the conception of God:
Liberty could be harmless and exist in governments and countries without being detrimental to the prosperity of the people, if it were based on religion and the fear of God, on human brotherhood, free from ideas of equality that are in direct opposition to the laws of creation that have prescribed submission.
Governed by such a faith, the people would be under the tutelage of the parishes and would live peacefully and humbly under the direction of spiritual pastors and subject to divine Providence on this earth. Therefore, we must tear from the minds of Christians even the very conception of God and replace it with arithmetic calculations and material needs. (4th Session, p. 52).
This is the entire program of secular laws that our rulers proclaim inviolable, both after and before the war. In the name of science, secular generations must be raised in godless schools. On this point, the Judeo-Masonic work is immense and so perseveringly pursued that it threatens to destroy the Church of France and is no less formidable in all countries. Thus, the “Protocols” contain the following admission:
When we had taken away the people’s religion, power was thrown into the streets as public property, and we seized it. (5th Session, p. 55).
2° Counter-Church in the Face of the Catholic Clergy.
This goal and its means of action are clearly expressed:
We have taken great care to discredit the Gentile clergy in the eyes of the people, and we have thus succeeded in harming their mission, which could have seriously thwarted our designs. The influence of the clergy over the people diminishes every day.
Today, religious freedom is recognized everywhere, and we are only a few years away from the time when Christianity will collapse from scratch. It will be even easier to do away with the other religions, but it is too soon to discuss this point
We will reduce the clergy and its teachings to such a minor role, and we will make its influence so antipathetic to the people, that its teachings will have the opposite effect to what they once had. (17th Session, p. 114).
Who does not recognize here the violent or covert attacks directed against the clergy? Who does not perceive here the watchword of all the Kulturkampfs from that of Bismarck to that of the Grand Lodge of France currently in Czecho-Slovakia? These are the laws of confiscation of property and exile of religious; the laws of separation of Church and State, one of the foundations of the revolution in our country; the barely concealed theft of the resources of the clergy and of the masses for the dead; the infamous rumor, so intense in the midst of war while priests were being killed by the enemy; the war cry finally: “Clericalism, that’s the enemy!” which they insisted on reawakening by the apotheosis of the heart of Gambetta, a Jew and a traitor, and which was accentuated on Sunday, November 23, 1924, by the transfer of Jaurès to the Pantheon.
The “Protocols” of 1897 had foreseen all these sacrileges and all these infamies.
3° Counter-Church in the face of the Vatican.
At the fifteenth session (p. 98), the Jews regard the Russian autocracy “as their only dangerous enemy”, but they add: “if we do not count the Holy See.”
The word is out: the enemy is not only clericalism, is not only Christ, is not only God, it is, above all, the one who represents the clergy, Christ and God, it is the Holy See.
So we read in the seventeenth session (p. 114):
When the time comes for us to destroy completely the Pontifical Court, an unknown hand pointing to the Vatican, will give the signal for the assault.
When in their fury the people throw themselves on the Vatican, we will appear as protectors to stop the bloodshed. By this act, we will penetrate to the very heart of this Pontifical Court from which nothing in the world will be able to drive us out until we have destroyed the power of the Pope.
The presentation of this plan is worthy of Judeo-Masonry and its motto: “Strength and Hypocrisy.” These tortuous methods, these camouflaged strangulations date back a long time, and we can confirm the “Protocols” of the Jews of 1897 by the confession of a great Freemason, Mr. Bethmont, deputy of Charente-Inférieure, former first President of the Court of Auditors. This deputy met Msgr. Pie, Bishop of Poitiers, when the prelate was on a confirmation tour around Bressuire. This was in 1878.
The bishop said: “Mr. Deputy, I believe you want to restart the fight against the Church; but do you hope to succeed where Nero, Julian the Apostate, and your great ancestors of ‘93 failed?”
— “My Lord, replied Brother Bethmont, at the risk of appearing audacious, I will reply that those you speak of did not know how to go about it: we will do better than them. Violence achieves nothing against the Church; so we will use other means. We will organize a learned and legal persecution, we will surround the Church with a network of laws, decrees, and orders that will stifle it without shedding a single drop of blood.”
This is still the plan of the “Protocols”.
The Jews say: “When we are the masters of the earth, we will tolerate no religion but our own.”22 But they add further:
Our philosophers will expose all the disadvantages of the religions of the Gentiles, but no one will ever judge our religion from its true point of view, because no one will ever have a complete knowledge of it, except our own, who will never venture, under any circumstances, to reveal its mysteries (14th Session, p. 95).
What is this secret, esoteric religion, known only to insiders? It is not the religion of Moses who, on descending from Sinai, broke the golden calf to substitute the tablets of the Decalogue. On the contrary, it is the religion of the Talmud, which erects the golden calf as an idol. Moreover, “the King of Israel will become the true Pope of the universe, the Patriarch of the international Church”,23 and the Jewish Super-government will be above the peoples and above God himself:
Our dominion will be glorious because it will be strong and will govern and guide, without falling in the wake of the leaders of the populace or of any orators, whoever they may be, proclaiming senseless words that they call great principles but which are, in reality, only utopias. Our power will be the organizer of order, order, the principle of public happiness. The prestige of this power will attract mystical adoration at the same time as the subjugation of all nations. A true power must yield to no right, not even that of God. No one will dare approach it with the intention of diminishing it, even by a thread. (22nd Session, p. 138).
The Jewish religion will therefore be the reign of gold, force, and reason, the glorification of man, Masonic secularism. In every respect, Judeo-Masonry shows itself to be the Counter-Church
Such is the triple moral, social, and religious revolution, cynically developed in the “Protocols”, which makes Judeo-Masonry the Counter-Morality, the Counter-State, and the Counter-Church. Once again, the Jews’ denials do not invalidate the confessions in these reports, nor can our affirmations irrefutably establish their authenticity. Everything here depends on the confirmation that the “Protocols” receive events that separate 1932 from 1897. On the latter date, the Jews were drawing up the plan according to which these events were to unfold; on the former date, that is, today, this plan is in full execution. We need no further proof.
Conclusion
JUDEO-MASONRY IS COUNTER-MORALITY: If you believe in the principle of morality that commands respect for property, if you prefer to keep the little you possess, if you reject the Judeo-Masonic maxim formulated by Brother Proudhon: “Property is theft,” a maxim according to which your neighbor can legally move in with you and throw you out; and if, in the light of events, you see that the mathematical application of this maxim has been continuing for fifteen years in Russia and in the countries undergoing revolution, that it is the same in Italy and in Sicily, and that in France itself an experiment of this kind has been attempted in the department of Landes, if you see these things and if you finally understand the warning of the “Protocols”, confirmed by the facts, unite against the Jews and the Freemasons.
If you believe in the principle of morality that commands respect for oneself and others, if you do not believe that men and women were born for prostitution, that the family, under the Judeo-Masonic pressure of divorce and free union, must become a phalanstery and a stud farm, instead of remaining, as in the time of our fathers, a blessed sanctuary; and if, in the light of events, you see that the wave of pleasure that has swept the world since peace is only the obligatory application of Israel’s plan, and that such a dissolution of morals could drown in a lake of misery and shame those whom the Jews do not fear to call “these Gentile swine”, if you see these things and if you finally understand the warning of the “Protocols” confirmed by the facts, unite against the Jews and the Freemasons.
JUDEO-MASONRY IS THE COUNTER-STATE: If you believe in the principle of order and authority without which no government can survive, if you notice that the advocates of equality have no other goal than to dominate you and reduce you to serfdom, that the advocates of fraternity are stateless people who overthrow our borders to better introduce foreigners, that the advocates of liberty are sans-culottes who substitute liberalism and license for true liberty to destroy society; and if, in the light of events, you see that these advocates are the masters, that useful and influential positions are universally in Jewish and Masonic hands, whether it be municipalities, general councils, prefectural councils, administrations, ministries, Parliament, education at all levels, Higher Education, Grandes Ecoles, Academies, and that the Archives Israélites took pride, with Mr. Millerand, in having Jewish blood in the Presidency of the Republic; and if, better still, always in the light of events, you see that this influence of the State is preparing according to the Judeo-Masonic plan of social revolution, formerly called the Great Revolution, today called Bolshevism, but both leading, in 1932 as in 1793, to the regime of Terror, which will inevitably add foreign war to civil war in our days; if you see the Bolshevik tremors coming from Russia, like a world volcano, to convulsively stir up all peoples, if you see these things and if you finally understand the warning of the “Protocols”, confirmed by the facts, unite against the Jews and the Freemasons.
JUDEO-MASONRY IS THE COUNTER-CHURCH: If you still believe in the religious principles of your youth, in your catechism which sheds singular light on the plan of the Counter-Church, if you do not think that after your death you will be worth less than a living dog, if you feel your immortal soul turning at certain times its gaze towards heaven, where the Father who created us awaits us; if you have faith in the crucified Christ who forgives, who blesses, who consoles, and if you meet at the foot of the cross, in tears but standing, his Mother who is also your Mother; if your memory sometimes brings you back to the church where you were baptized, confirmed, received communion; if you then feel, in a thrill of soul, a sweet regret for the past; and if, in the light of events, you see that, for fifty years, we have been determined to take down the crucifix from schools, nurseries, courtrooms, hospitals to throw it in the street, that we have exiled monks and nuns because they prayed and taught, that we have made an inviolable law of separation in order to one day close your churches and chase away your priests, against whom you have perhaps listened too complacently to the infamous rumors, while they are your best friends, that we have made an inviolable law of secular schools to raise, as we have said, generations without God, the Bolsheviks of tomorrow, that ultimately it is Christ, it is God who has been chased from France, and that it is indeed the rigorous application of the Judeo-Masonic plan; If you see these things, and if you finally understand the warning of the “Protocols”, confirmed by the facts, unite against the Jews and the Freemasons.
Tomorrow?
No, today, if you do not want to be surprised by the “Great Evening”. A Minister of War, better informed no doubt, seemed to tell us, by resigning, that the danger was looming for 1921. In 1924, as a conclusion of the visit of Mr. Herriot to Moscow, Trotsky said at a communist meeting: “Mr. Herriot will soon be Prime Minister in France and will establish a Kerensky-style regime there, the result of which will be the triumph of the communists over the French bourgeoisie. Be careful not to wake up too late.”
A supreme piece of advice.
At the dawn of this New Year, the Church reminds us of these words from the Gospel: On the eighth day, Joseph gave the Child the name Jesus, which means Savior. Believe that the only Savior is Christ Jesus; He alone will resurrect the true France, the sacred and traditional France, the France that is neither Jewish nor Masonic, Catholic France.

We cannot deal in a few pages with the historicity, authenticity and veracity of the Protocols. We have done so at length in the Introduction and Appendices of our edition of this work, which is available at the Offices of the International Review of Secret Societies, 8, Avenue Portalis, and at the Librairie Emile-Paul, 100, Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
We have it on good authority that the Protocols were written in Hebrew, and that the French translation given to Nilus was made because of the ignorance of this Hebrew language by a large number of the Zionist congressmen in Basel in 1897, starting with Theodor Herzl and Max Nordau.
The great New York publisher, Mr. Putnam, already had several thousand copies of the “Protocols” translated into English at the bookbinder’s. The Jews prevented this publication by threatening to ruin the publisher.
The pages refer to the second edition of the “Protocols”.
We should not trust the self-serving statistics of the Jews. A large number of them claim to be subjects of origin of the nation they inhabit under an assumed name. Among those who seriously study the Jewish question, many estimate that this race numbers between 35 and 40 million worldwide.
The Jews need the secrecy of the Lodges:
“Why were we led to imagine our policy and to implant it among the Gentiles? We instilled it in them without letting them understand its inner meaning. What drove us to adopt such a line of conduct, if not the fact that, as a scattered race, we cannot achieve our goal by direct means, but only by indirect means? Such was the real cause of our organization of Masonry, the meaning of which these Gentile swine have not fully understood, nor even suspected, the purpose. They are attracted to us in the multitude of our Lodges which appear to be solely Masonic to throw dust in the eyes of their comrades.” (11th session, p. 82).
The end justifies the means. In making our plans, we must pay more attention to what is necessary and profitable than to what is good and moral,” (1st Session, p. 35).
The General Overview was already printed when we received confirmation of the Kaiser’s confession in the following manner: On December 2, 1920, Msgr. Polit, Archbishop of Quito, told us that he had visited the Abbess of Maredret, in Belgium, the day before, and that she had said these words to him:
“Monsignor, you are sitting in the chair occupied by the Emperor of Germany, when he said to me in plain words: ‘It is not me, it is the Jews and the Freemasons who have waged the war.’”
The following quotation responds well to the Judeo-Masonic traps that amuse the people and distract them from serious ideas. The sporting side, with the boy scouts before the war, and the post-school laws after the peace fit perfectly into the same plan. As for the wave of pleasure unleashed in all countries, we see that it comes particularly from the same source. Read and compare:
“To prevent them from discovering a new line of conduct in politics, we will also distract them with all kinds of entertainment: games, pastimes, passions, public houses.”
“We will soon be placing advertisements in the newspapers, inviting the people to take part in all kinds of artistic, sporting, etc. competitions. These new entertainments will permanently distract the public mind from issues that could bring us into conflict with the populace. As the people gradually lose the gift of thinking for themselves, they will howl with us, for the simple reason that we will be the only members of society capable of putting forward new ideas; these unknown paths will be opened to thought by intermediaries who cannot be suspected of being our own.” (13th Session, p. 92).
Moreover, any attempt at independence will be repressed by the terror conveniently abetted by modern civilization:
“It will be objected that nations might take up arms against us if our plans were prematurely discovered; but, in view of this possibility, we can rely on the activation of a force so formidable that it would make the bravest men shudder: By then, metropolitan railways and underground passages will be built in all cities. From these subterranean places, we will blow up all the cities of the world, with their institutions and their documents.” (9th Session, p. 70).

On page 76 (10th Session), the Jews took steps to ensure that the Presidents of the Republic were always corrupt men, with a scandal like Panama or some other shady affair of the same kind to their credit, in order to make them the faithful executors of their plans. The application is not difficult. Similarly, in the United States, Wilson was the liege lord of the Jew Brandeis; and the newly elected, Harding, is a Freemason, already a prisoner of Judeo-Masonry. Since our first edition in 1921, how many other examples could we find?

This is what the Jews call peaceful conquests:
“Our State, following the path of peaceful conquests, has the right to substitute for the horrors of war less apparent and more expeditious, which are necessary to maintain terror and produce blind submission. A just and implacable severity is the principal factor in the power of a State. It is not merely for the advantage that can be drawn from it, but also for the love of duty and victory that we must adhere to the program of violence and hypocrisy. Our principles are as powerful as the means we employ to carry them out. Therefore, we shall certainly triumph, not only by these very means, but by the severity of our doctrines, and we shall make all governments slaves of our Super-government. It will be enough for it to be known that we are implacable when it comes to breaking resistance.” (1st Session, p. 37).
23rd Session, p. 139. — The peoples who are too unhappy will themselves demand Jewish government; if necessary, they will be forced to do so by every scourges; “But you know perfectly well yourselves that for the multitude to come to cry out for this request, it is necessary that in all countries there be a continual disturbance of the relations which exist between the people and the governments, — hostilities, wars, hatreds, and even the martyrdom of hunger and want, of inoculated diseases, and this to such a degree that the Gentiles see no other way out of their misfortunes than an appeal to our money and our complete sovereignty.”
“But if we give the nation time to pull itself together, it is unlikely that such an opportunity will present itself again.” (10th Session, p. 79).

You may be interested in Fr. Gaston Ritter’s book Judaism And The Shadow Of Antichrist: A Look Behind The Scenes Of The Political World Stage, published in 2nd edition in 1938.
He goes into the entire Bern process where the Jews claimed the Protocols were a forgery and shows that they ultimately lost there.
